Nāmohala – The Blooming. This page is dedicated to sharing Don Yuen’s love of boats, and to follow the refurbishing of his last boat, Aʻu Leʻa, a 44 ft Lancer motor-sailer.

The first boat he built was a 46′ replica of a caravel. Built in the 1950s while he and his first wife Geraldine were students at the California College of Arts and Crafts, she was outfitted with trim from the old Victorian homes of Berkeley and Oakland which were being demolished at the time.
